The Multi-State Crime Interdiction Unit was formed in 1999 by a metro Atlanta, Georgia law enforcement officer who, after years of responding to calls from crime victims, decided to try to help reduce the crime rate by educating the public with free crime awareness seminars. Over a nineteen (19) period MSCIU has worked with numerous civic organizations, private and public companies, government agencies, and educational facilities throughout the United States helping to educate and train their personnel in the area of personal safety. Our Director, J. Trincher Watkins, started his law enforcement career in 1987 with the Gwinnett County, Georgia Sheriff's Department. He has worked for the State of Georgia, and several county and city law enforcement agencies. He graduated in the top 3% of his class from the 28th Gwinnett County, Georgia Police Academy and has numerous certifications in areas such as: Workplace Violence/Office Safety, Management, Hostage Negotiation, Drugs and Drug Identification, Drug Interdiction, and Gangs!!! Mr. Watkins received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy (both active duty and reserve) for fifteen (15) years.

After spending 2½ years working with the GA Department of Human Resources as the senior child abuse investigator for the Forsyth County Division of Family and Children’s Services, Mr. Watkins now heads the Multi-State Crime Interdiction Unit. Previously, he worked six years with the Fulton County, Georgia Sheriff's Department Special Operations Unit (holding the rank of sergeant) while working with the MCP Task Force. His seminar promises to be both informative and entertaining-which may greatly help reduce your chances of possibly becoming the next victim of a senseless crime.

¹ NOTICE: Effective January 1, 2019 there will be a "round trip" travel charge for "unsolicited"* seminar requests over 300 miles (one way) from our main office. (*"Unsolicited" means that our office did not FIRST contact the venue offering our training, but that this was a NEW call from the requesting person or venue.) Due to gas and oil prices the following charges will be in effect: $0.85 per mile for seminars with an attendance of less than 200 people per seminar; and, $0.75 per mile for seminars with an attendance of 200 + people per seminar.
